The Canada Revenue Agency is shifting 549 collection jobs in Ottawa to other tax centres across the country. It is almost certain not all of those employees will make the move from Ottawa. In essence they are latterally supporting their suggested intent to reduce their workforce through attrition.
Reducing the workforce and adding to the burden of the existing tax centres is not reassuring as wait times for processing any type of request or review already seems too lengthy. Read more from the Ottawa Citizen here.
